The Rainbow Learning Group & Neighbourhood House Inc was formed in 1985 and is an incorporated not for profit, community-based organisation located at Rainbow in the Southern Mallee. Rainbow Learning Group & Neighbourhood House provides a diverse range of services, programs and learning opportunities to our community.
By offering education, social and employment pathways, we provide our community with a diverse range of opportunities to gain knowledge, share skills and increase confidence, adaptability and self-sufficiency.
Our mission is to help build the health, education, well-being and resilience of the people and families in our community and to help develop our community as a thriving and supportive place to live.
Rainbow Learning Group & Neighbourhood House offers a vibrant array of recreational programs designed to foster creativity, social connections, and overall well-being. We strive to provide a welcoming environment where individuals can learn, socialise, and improve their well-being through diverse and enriching programs.
For Health & Wellbeing, the house offers exercise classes, yoga sessions, and wellness workshops. These programs aim to promote physical fitness, mental health, and a balanced lifestyle. Whether you're looking to stay active, de-stress, or learn new health practices, there's something for everyone.
Our Arts & Crafts programs includes a variety of workshops where participants can explore different artistic mediums, from painting and pottery to knitting and scrapbooking. These sessions not only provide a creative outlet but also help build a sense of community among attendees.
Our Art group runs every 1st & 3rd Wednesday. Everyone is welcome! All skill levels! BYO materials. Come along and grab a cuppa and do some art!
The Patchwork and Projects group meets fortnightly on Saturday to come together and work on your patchwork or any other projects that you are working on in the company of others. Call us for more information.
The Busy Hands Craft & Cuppa group meets on the 4th Monday of the month. Bring along your own scrapbooking projects or some paper crafts. Together we do some amazing cardmaking. It is a great opportunity to socialise, have a cuppa and do some crafts with like-minded people.

Our Social program is packed with engaging activities such as themed parties, game nights, and cultural celebrations. These events are perfect for meeting new people, sharing experiences, and enjoying fun-filled gatherings.
The Men's Shed in Rainbow dates back to 2019, after gratefully receiving funding from DFFH and whilst we have had a name change to accurately reflect that we are here for all of the community, we still offer a fantastic space for men to come together to work on their own projects, community projects or individual jobs for others. The space boasts range of equipment for use, and now has a fantastic new heating and cooling system. Stay tuned for our new Welding Bay! Come for a cuppa, a chat or to work on a job, all are welcome.

RAISE Your Voice is a free, peer group, that teaches about human rights and self-advocacy. We will support you to use those skills in your in your community to make changes and advocate for what matters to you.
West Wimmera Health Service’s Speciality Cancer Care Nurse - Nicole, visits Rainbow Neighbourhood House one a month to run a local cancer support group. Suitable to those who are currently on a cancer journey, in recovery or remission, or for carers, family and friends of those who support someone with cancer. Come in enjoy a friendly chat and a cuppa.
Our Book Club meets on the 3rd Thursday every month 7pm - 9pm. Come together and have a cuppa and have a social group to read and discuss the book the group is reading.
Come along on the 4th Monday every month at 9:30am to come and chat while you do some gardening and tidying around the Neighbourhood House. Our gardens are amazing! The Friends of the courthouse help keep our gardens looking beautiful!

We’ve upgraded to an amazing new printer!
This upgrade allows us to offer even better printing services for our community. Whether you need documents, flyers, or other materials printed, we’re here to help bring your ideas to life.
We also offer laminating and binding. And we can scan and email documents for you as well.

Rainbow Learning Group & Neighbourhood House has a range of fully air-conditioned rooms for hire, suitable for 1-25 people.
Our rooms are equipped with high speed internet plus large TV & video conferencing facilities.
Facilities include: Kitchen with stove, microwave and fridge. Two bathrooms, including disabled toilet and full disabled access.

The Rainbow Craft Shop sells crafts and baked goods sourced from local creative people. The shop is run by our amazing Craft shop manager and as well as some awesome volunteers! If you haven’t tried the baked goods - you need to! - they are delicious!
